Cameron Smith, who won the 150th British Open at the Royal and Ancient Golf Club, St. Andrews, Scotland, is a local. Although born in Brisbane, Australia, he has lived in Ponte Vedra Beach for the past seven years where he won the 2022 Players Championship as well. He lives on the Intracoastal Waterway near a restaurant we frequent. He has a collection of muscle cars and two fishing boats at his dock. He is only 28 years old and enjoys playing an epic race simulator, complete with full race wheel, pedals and three screens for panoramic views. He is living his Florida dream life which he can afford with his prize of $2.5 million for the British Open and $3.6 million for the Players Championship.
