A PRAYER FOR THE CHAPEL SEARCH COMMITTEE

Heavenly Father, who calls pastors to equip your people for the work of ministry in your church, guide with your Holy Spirit the Search Committee of the Chapel to find the right person to be our spiritual leader. Lead them to a person who is centered in Jesus Christ, with the vision, gifts and personality to serve in this place. Help them to be open to divine inspiration, to consider all possibilities, and to find the person of your choice for us at this time. Give us someone with a passion for the Gospel and love for people who will be able to help us to grow in grace and the knowledge of Jesus Christ our Lord. Someone who will open the Scriptures to us in the power of the Spirit and equip us for good works. Someone who will bring us and our community the hope and comfort of salvation. Someone who will expand our horizons to eternity. Someone who will rescue us from self-preoccupation to reach out to others. Someone we can trust with the care of our souls who will lead us through worship into the courts of heaven and build us up in our most holy faith. Help us we pray, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
